Elocution

The Art of Public Speaking

'Communication is a skill that you can learn. It's like riding a bicycle or typing. If you're willing to work at it, you can rapidly improve the quality of everypart of your life'

-Brian Tracy

What is Elocution?

Elocution is the study of formal speaking in pronunciation, grammar, style, and tone.

Why do children need Elocution lessons?

Good communication is the key to success!

Children who speak clearly and confidently are most likely to be top of their class because they’re not afraid to speak or ask the teacher questions.

Children who can speak clearly and confidently will not have a fear of socialising and will be willing to join in social events – parties, clubs, sports etc.

Our aim…

  • Achieve fluent speech

  • Boost confidence

  • Improve the coordination of speech muscles

  • Teach intercostal diaphragmatic breathing

  • Improve reading ability

  • Improve vocal quality

  • Develop practical social skills

  • Provide a better quality of life

  • Improve the ability to understand and express thoughts, ideas and feelings

  • Increase self-esteem

  • Increase independence

 What our classes involve

Our individual elocution classes are 30 minute duration. An assessment is carried out in the first session in order to create a personal programme for each individual.

Whether it is a diagnosed speech and language problem or purely speaking clearly and eloquently, this class is for you.
